"My family might seem typical on the outside but life hasn't always been easy for us. My mother was diagnosed with crippling arthritis 10 years ago and my father's diabetes reached a critical stage last year. My dad lost his job in 2005 and my mother had to downgrade to a lower paying job because of her illness. We were hard hit then with so much pay. We barely had enough to eat on some days. Through the years, however, my parents have ensured that my brother and I studied hard and enjoyed a good life. Despite our ups and downs, we try to take short trips overseas once every few years. I thank God everyday for helping us stick together as a family and giving us enough to live a happy life. Friends come and go, but family; they stay."

"My girl was born prematurely at 31 weeks and we tried for almost 9 months before she was conceived. She is such a joyful baby and both my husband and I love her so much. Indeed, having a baby in the family has brought my husband and I closer together and brought joy to our family and relatives. We look forward to picking her up each evening and playing with her before she sleeps. We also enjoy the weekends where we have the entire day to communicate and play with her."

"My baby Phoebe is the first child of her generation in my extended family. She is lavished with attention and gifts by her parents, 4 grandparents, 5 grandaunts, 6 granduncles, 10 aunts and 6 uncles. In return, she fills our homes with laughter. She sings and dances for everyone. Everyday she gives us hugs and pulls mommy and daddy to hug one another. She pulls grandma and grandpa to sit side by side on the sofa. She gives us all gentle kisses, warms our hearts and reminds us what a blessing family life is."

"My eldest son was taken care of by my mother and though they're both busy leading their own lives today, they still take the time to share their joy and sadness with each other. My second son was taken care of by my ex-domestic helper from India. She never fails to remember his birthday every year. As my second son was sick often, she always had to sacrifice her sleep to look after him at night. My youngest son is a joy to the family. Daddy is busy with work but never fails to care for his children and often brings them for holidays overseas."

"It took us so long to have Joel. We tried everything including TCM, the Kama Sutra, feng shui etc. Joel is two now and I am still counting my blessings. Joel also gave me magical strength – my workload is heavy! Sometimes, I even have to work at midnight. Hence, I am also thankful to my mother-in-law for her support even though she still believes in the goodness of “red-hat-maid-milk”. A very typical Singaporean family but it's the warmth and the positive energy that provides the recipe for a healthy family, just like Abbott formula."

"The story begins with me, the Mummy, and Papa meeting and dating for 5 years before marrying. After trying and trying for a baby, we finally had a child after 7 long years. Zi Xuan, who is three, is our love and joy. She is in childcare while we work and, after we knock off, we both are happy to see her smile. We love spending the weekends together eating and visiting my parents. We also love to go on cruises and short getaways."

"I truly enjoy being a mother of two girls. Both my hubby and I work hard for our family, and seeing our two little princesses growing up well, we feel extremely happy. Both our girls are active, healthy, smart and cheerful. Many thanks to Abbott for their continual improvement in children's formula. My children have definitely benefited from it."

"As my parents are staying with me, and my Mum is the caregiver of my son with my daughter arriving in March, our bonds are very strong. Both my husband and I believe in spending quality, not quantity, time with family. This means that we don't just spend time together physically, we do meaningful activities. Things like building sandcastles at the beach, doing an art and craft activity or fixing a puzzle together etc."

"My grandfather was diagnosed with prostate cancer ten years ago. His condition stabilised after an operation and he was very active. However, there was a sudden change of condition last year. He felt unwell and was admitted to NUH regularly. Initially, he did not want to be admitted as he did not want to impose a financial burden on me. But I couldn't let him suffer in silence. As such, I took him to the hospital countless times. Today, he is being taken care of by a nurse from the hospice. She is very helpful and goes all out to help my grandfather."

"I have a happy family with a loving husband and two active sons. Although we have busy working and school lives in the day, we enjoy sharing happy times when we get home. Weekends are family days where we enjoy each other's company. Whether indoors or out, it is a joy to watch the children play and interact with us."
