Grow & Grow School win prestigious awards from the Singapore Institute of Food Science and Technology


SINGAPORE – Abbott Nutrition was once again recognised for its' first ever researched and made-In-Singapore milk for growing up children. The unique milk formulation contain more calcium1 and Vitamin D, 25% less sugar and 25% less saturated fat than regular growing-up milk products.

Abbott Nutrition's new win of the Best Product Award 2011 – 2013 is from the Singapore Institute of Food Science and Technology (SIFST) for its Abbott Grow School with ImmuniGrow nutrients, made for children aged six to twelve. The award recognises the outstanding food products manufactured by both local and international companies. This is the first time Abbott participated in the SIFST Awards.

Another Abbott product recognised by SIFST is Abbott Grow milk for children age three to six. It received a certificate of Merit in the Healthier Choice category.

This is the second time that the Grow and Grow School with ImmuniGrow nutrients product formulation has been recognised at a national level for the its outstanding nutritional value and health benefits. Launched earlier this year, the two growing-up milk products were awarded the Healthier Choice Symbol from the Singapore government-linked Health Promotion Board for meeting its new growing-up milk guidelines.

Following Abbott's win of the SIFST award, consumers in Thailand will get an opportunity to sample Abbott's Grow School with ImmuniGrow nutrients milk when it is exhibited at the ASEAN Food Conference in Thailand; it has also been nominated for the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST) International Food Product Award 2011 – 2013 in Brazil which may mean that consumers in Brazil will also get to sample the new healthier milk of Abbott's.
