You speak, "What are essential baby items/ diaper bag essentials you can't leave home without."

There are so many baby items required for the newest addition to the family. This knowledge is even more important for parents-to-be and new parents, to know what their little ones need.

In March's issue of Family Ties, we asked parents what essential baby or diaper bag essentials they can't leave home without. And we got SWAMPED with all your responses that came in fast and furious! Thank you for taking the time to write in to share with other parents what you think is important to bring along with you.

Perhaps not surprisingly, 'diapers', 'milk powder', 'baby wipes', 'extra clothes' and 'water' are the most commonly-mentioned items.

Please take a moment below to read what "must-have" baby items that appear in some parents' bags!

Milk powder, milk bottles, warm water, cool water, water bottle, snacks, noodle cutter, diapers, extra set of clothes, sweater, plastic bag (for soiled clothing), wet wipes & a small toy or book. With all these things, sometimes the bag is heavier than the child!

In my baby bag, I have small thermos flask, distilled water, milk, extra milk bottle, diapers, wipes, extra dress for my little girl, mittens & booties, instant hand sanitiser and a sweat shirt. I need to bring these things before I leave our house.

I can't leave home without disposable diapers and wipes for the baby, even if I don't think I'll need them all. You'll never know if you're held up in an appointment or en-route to a destination. These will come handy to wipe messy baby bottoms, clean hands, faces and even blotting stains and spills.

My diaper bag essentials include: diapers or pull-up pants, diaper cream, nappy cloth (to wash baby's butt after poo) rinse-free soap, a jacket, snacks, cereal/porridge (if outing is during mealtime), toys, water bottle, and milk powder, hot flask filled with hot water, milk bottles and lukewarm water.

I must bring at least 8 diapers , a set of spare clothes , one cardigan , milk powder (in a 3-tier container), baby biscuits , one milk bottle, one water bottle, pacifier, and baby wipes

I have to make sure there is sufficient milk in my bag. Next on the list are diapers, baby wipes, wet tissues or hand sanitiser, to ensure my baby's hands are always kept clean as he always sucks his fingers. I also bring along a change of clothes, and a towel to wipe his back when he gets sweaty, and an umbrella in case we are caught in the rain.
