Abbott Nutrition Singapore Donates GROW® to Less Fortunate Children beyond Local Shores

In August 2009, Abbott Nutrition Singapore donated GROW® —a growing-up milk— to support a medical mission to a fishing village community in Indonesia (Senggarang, Bintan).

The team of 10 people – comprising doctors, medical students and youths —led this mission as part of the bi-monthly initiative organized by a Singapore church to attend to the medical needs of adults suffering from chronic diseases like hypertension and diabetes and young children plagued with acute medical problems.

Abbott Nutrition Singapore was pleased to support this worthy cause to help nourish and strengthen less fortunate kids.

Dr. Low Sze Sen of Sefton Medical Centre in Singapore expressed thanks for Abbott’s kind donation. He will be leading the December 2009 mission trip team to Senggarang and will share with us more photos of how the children are faring. Abbott wishes him and his team a safe and fulfilling trip.
