Abbott Nutrition recently opened our new Asia-Pacific Research and Development Center at Singapore's Biopolis - a major center for conducting research and clinical trials in food and sensory science, clinical nutrition science, novel ingredient evaluation, cognition science and related areas. Our scientists here lead the way in creating new ingredients, products and flavors and packages tailored to Asian tastes, preferences and needs. > Learn more

In addition, Abbott Nutrition has also opened a new, state-of-the-art product manufacturing facility in Singapore to meet increasing demand for nutritional products throughout Asia. Abbott Manufacturing Singapore (AMS), Abbott's first nutrition plant in Asia, reduces product delivery time and increases product availability for Asian customers.

The Biopolis also houses Abbott's first pharmaceutical research and development site in Southeast Asia. Opened in January 2009, the new laboratory will conduct stability studies on active pharmaceutical ingredients and novel formulations for new pharmaceutical products critical to the region. The laboratory's work will enable us to accelerate development of innovative investigational medicines and, potentially, to deliver new treatments to patients faster in such areas as neuroscience and cancer. > Learn more
