Abbott brings sunshine and sunflowers to Dover Park Hospice

As part of Abbott's ongoing efforts to give back to the community, Abbott Singapore supported Dover Park Hospice SUNday Walk 2009 held on 22 November after we heard about the sad loss of 1,000 stolen sunflowers that were planted at Raffles Place lawn.

As a symbolic gesture, Abbott purchased all of that weekend's wholesale supply of nearly 860 stalks of fresh sunflowers to encourage and thank the supporters at the event. Abbott also donated S$5,000 to make good the donation revenue lost from the stolen sunflowers. In addition, Abbott Nutrition is exploring with the hospice to help needy patients with nutritional products while Abbott Diagnostics will be donating 25 office chairs to the hospice.
